2 cup sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/3 cups sugar
4 tsp cinnamon
2 sticks (1 cup) softened butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg, separated
1 6oz. bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped nuts
- Mix and sift flour, baking powder, 1 cup sugar, and 3 tsp cinnamon. Add butter, 1 egg, and egg yolk and blend well on low speed of electric mixer.
- Turn into lightly greased 13x9 baking pan or onto a jelly roll pan (15x10), spreading evenly. Beat egg white slightly and brush over mixture.
- Combine 1/3 c. sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon and chocolate chips and sprinkle over the top.
- Bake at 325 for 20-25 minutes.
